![]() ![]() I've posted about it in a separate question. Unfortunately my other Photosmart printer is also on the fritz, within a week of this one by coincidence. ![]() Any kind advice would certainly be appreciated. I would like to get this printer working again. The network cable is not plugged in and there are no cards in the memory card reader. I'm not sure if this is relevant, but I did notice that most of the time after plugging in the printer, the LED light on the network connector flashes for a short time, followed by the light on the memory card reader. The white grid pattern appears every time, and remains until the printer is unplugged. I have tried unplugging and replugging a few times (unplug both ends of adapter and wait 60 seconds) with the same result. The printer does not respond to any button pushes. The grid pattern remains on the display, and there is no mechanical activity nor any sound coming from the printer. When I recently plugged in my Photosmart C6280, a white grid, or horizontal and vertical criss-cross pattern appeared on the touchscreen display, with the moving colour bar along the bottom. Now they have both failed within a week of each other. HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet. Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet. I have two HP Photosmart printers that I have been very happy with. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
